I work at a PK3 - 12 grade private school. To say that I love my job is an understatement. We have the best faculty and staff, and our students are amazing!
We have a Focus Group of students that is tasked each year with bringing real life issues to our student body to educate and inform them. Since it is prom season, our group decided this year to have a "mock" drunk driving accident posed on our campus. We had a parent bring a wrecked car to our campus and all of the emergency personnel who would respond in a situation like this were asked to participate and they did!
The students in grades 9-12 were not aware of this event and it took them by surprise when they exited the building to the sounds of sirens to see the scene pictured below. The emergency personnel treated it like a real scene. It was emotional to see students we love and adore in this type of situation - real or fake!
Here are some pictures from the event that day:
Don't drink and drive!
